well this is my first attemp at making anything like this but i feel pretty good about it so far. i have tons of ideas and have been working on getting materials together. i see alot of potential in the things that i do have so far. i dont have much in the way of pictures but i will keep taking them as i go and i am sure i will have tons of questions as i progress. first pic is of chest and shoulder armor. second one is of things i am going to use and turn into weapons and use for part of the helmet.

Like Like Like!!! very nice ner vod can wait to see what color scheme you come up with!
-
At this point I'm also looking forward to seeing what the color scheme is going to be too, lol. I think I'll keep it simple for right now, I can always go back and repaint it or make another set at a later time
-
Also you might want to look into armor color meaning to chose as well. for instance my armor is black to represent "Justice" and green to represent "Duty". i think we have color meanings here some where but i know a couple
Black-Justice
Green-Duty
Gold/yellow-revenge
Red-Honering a father
there are more but thats all i know lol
-
this might sound like an odd question but when it comes to back armor does it help to make it from one whole piece or can you still get the same effect out of putting the left and right sides together seperatly?
I was thinking black and blue(because of busting my knuckles and smashing fingers while work) and red(because of the blood that seems to fallow after), lol.
I found this list of color meanings on wookieepedia(and this is going by what they have):
Grey - Mourning a Lost Love
Red - Honoring a Father
Black - Justice
Gold/Yellow - Vengeance/Revenge
Green - Duty
Blue - Reliability
Orange - A Lust for Life
i would think that there would be more meanings to other colors(for example white or silver) somewhere as well or maybe have the same meanings due to the different color shades.
-
I like the lack of meaning in White and silver, thank you. =P
I like them for that very reason, other than the fact that they're my favorite colors.
-
Thats a very good point Chekar. That does answer that bit of curiosity i had about the colors, thanks. :) I can see why they're your favorite colors white does go with everything and chome is basicly the same as silver
-
=P. You see, I have this little issue with the colors meaning something. That was added into canon LOOONG after even Jango. So people try to decode what Boba's armor means, and then fail to remember that the color meanings were made far after the movies. So this little bit keeps me from using the colors as a basis. It's fine to me for other people to use it, but the closest I'll get to color coding would be in the KOTOR style, where color would equal your rank.
-
i have read that also about the colors in the KOTOR era but i have not read what ranks the colors mean. i have played both KOTOR games and cant remember what the ranks are on those either. i remember the fisrt time i saw Empire Strikes Back and saw Boba Fett and thought it was some really cool armor and he looked like a bad (expletive deleted) bounty hunter. i think i am going to go with colors that are my favorites and keep it simple.
-
Nice. But also remember: when they designed Boba's armor, the colors had no meaning. People decided to base most of the color's meanings off of what they assumed it meant on Boba. Things like honoring a father, or revenge, came directly from his armor.

Some nice weaponry you got. Can't wait to see more of the armor.
